بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

1 S yiḍ, mara idell!

1 By (Wa) the night (Ellai'li) * when (Ithaa) it covers (Yag'shaa) , (91:4)

2 S wass, mara iṛeqq!

2 and (Wa) the day (En'Nahaari) when (Ithaa) it reveals (Tajallaa) , (91:3)

3 S wayen Ixleq: ddkeṛ, nnta!

3 and (Wa) that which (Maa) created (53:45) (Khalaqa) the male (Eth'Zakara) and the female (El'Unthaa) .

4 Igiten nnwen, s tideţ, mefruzit.

4 Indeed (Inna), your efforts (Sa'ya-kum') are (La) diverse (Shattaa) .

5 Wanag win iţseddiqen, iţḥezziben,

5 As for (Fa Amma) one who (Man') gave (A'toa) and (Wa) reverenced (Ettaqaa)

6 di tezdeg iumen,

6 and (Wa) gave credence to (Soddaqa Bi) goodness (El'Hus'naa) ,

7 ad as Nefk afus ad istiser.

7 then (Fa) We will ease him (Sa Nuyassiru-hu) towards the ease (87:8) (Lil' Yus'raa) .

8 Wanag win icuḥḥen, i ismeɣwṛen iman is,

8 As for (Wa Amma) one who (Man) was stingy (Bakhila) and (Wa) gave up (Es'tag'naa)

9 u iskaddeb ayen zeddigen,

9 and (Wa) denied (Kathzaba Bi) goodness (El'Hus'naa) ,

10 ad as Negg abrid ar laɛṣeṛ.

10 thence (Fa) We will ease him (Sa Nuyassiru-hu) towards the hardship (Lil' Us'raa) .

11 Iwumi yas wayla s, imi ad iɣli?

11 And (Wa) his wealth (Maalu-hu) will not (Maa) avail him (Yug'nii Än'hu) when (Ithaa) he declines (Taraddaa) .

12 Nnhaya, s tideţ, fellaneƔ.

12 Indeed (Inna), upon Us (Älai'naa) is (La) the Guidance (2:38) (El'Hudaa) .

13 Ih, taneggarut akked tmezwarut, d ayla nneƔ.

13 and (Wa) indeed (Inna), the hereafter (Lal' Aakhirata) and the first life (El'Uulaa) belongs to Us (Lanaa) .

14 Ɛaggneɣ awen: times d taqesḥant.

14 So (Fa) I (God) have warned you (p) (An'thar'tu-kum’) of a blazing (Talazzoa) fire (Naaran) .

15 Ara ţ ikecmen, siwa imceṛṛi maḍi,

15 None (Laa) will burn therein (Yas'laa-haa) except (illa) the most wretched (El'Ash'qaa) ,

16 i iskaddben, u iwexxṛen.

16 who (Ellazii) denied (Kathzaba) and (Wa) turned way (Tawallaa) .

17 A ţ swexxṛen i win iţḥezziben maḍi,

17 But (Wa) the most pious (49:13) (El'At'qaa) will shield from it (Sa Yujannabu-ha) ,

18 i iţseddiqen seg wayla s i tezdeg.

18 who (Ellazii) gives (Yu'tii) his wealth (Maala-hu) to purify (himself) (Yatazakkaa) ,

19 Ur iţţawi ḥedd, aɣiti sɣuṛes,

19 and (Wa) not (Maa) for (Li) someone (Ahadin) next to him (Enda - hu) to repay (Tuj'zaa) with (Min) a favour (Ni'matin)

20 siwa ma iṛɣeb udem n Mass is Aɛlayan.

20 except (illa) seeking (Eb'tigaa'a) the countenance (76:9) (Waj'hi) of his LORD (Rabbi-hi), the Highest (87:1) (El' A'laa) .

21 War ccekk, deqqal ad Iṛaḍi.

21 And (Wa) he will surely be (La Saw'fa) pleased (Yar'doa) .
