S yisem n LLAH, AMEḤNIN, ARAḤMAN
78:1

1 Ɣef aydeg ţmesteqsayen?
1 About what (Ämma) are they asking each other (Yatasaa’aluun) ?
78:2

2 Ɣef usali abarar,
2 Is it about (Äni) the great (El'Äziim) news (En'Nabai) *
78:3
٣
3 iɣef mgarraden.
3 that (Ellazii) they (Hum) are disputing (Mukh'talifuun Fiihi) ?!
78:4

4 Xaṭi, ad ẓṛen.
4 Nay (Kallaa)! They will find out (Sa Ya'lamuun) .
78:5

5 Sinna, xaṭi, ad ẓṛen.
5 And so (Thumma), nay (Kallaa)! They will find out (Sa Ya'lamuun) .

6 Day ur Nerra ara tamurt d usu,
6 Have We not (Alam') made (Naj'äli) the earth (El'Ar'do) a resting place (Mihaadaa) ?!
78:7

7 idurar, d ibudiden?
7 And (Wa) the mountains (El'Jibaala) as stakes (Aw'taadaa) ?!
78:8

8 Nexleq ikwen d tiwugiwin.
8 And (Wa) We created you (p) (Khalaq'naa-kum) in pairs (Az'waajaa) ?!
78:9

9 Nerra iḍes nnwen d ṛṛaḥa.
9 And (Wa) We made (Jaäl'naa) your sleep (Naw'ma-kum) a slumber (Subaataa) ?!
78:10

10 Nerra iḍ d talaba.
10 And (Wa) We made (Jaäl'naa) the night (Ellai'la) a covering (Libaasaa) ?!
78:11

11 Nerra ass i tmeddurt.
11 And (Wa) We made (Jaäl'naa) the daytime (En'Nahaara) for livelihood (Maääshaa) ?!
78:12

12 Nebna sennig wen ṣa uohiden.
12 And (Wa) We constructed (Banai'naa) above you (Faw'qakum’) seven (Sab'ään) with intensity (heavens) (Shidaadaa) ?!
78:13

13 Nerna asaḍef iţṛeqṛiqen.
13 And (Wa) We made (Jaäl'naa) a glowing (Wahhaajaa) lamp (Siraajan) ?!
78:14

14 Nesseɣli d, seg usigna, aman d ihedman,
14 And (Wa) We sent down (Anzal'naa) water (Maa”an) from (Mina) the compressed clouds (El'Mu'siraati), pouring (Thajjaajaa)
78:15

15 iwakken a Nessker, yissen, imɣan, iɛqqayen,
15 that (Li) We may produce (Nukh'rija) grain (Habbaan) and (Wa) vegetation (Nabaataa) thereby (Bihi)
78:16

16 tibḥirin ideṛsen.
16 as well as (Wa) undergrowth (Al'faafaa) gardens (Jannaatin) ?!
78:17

17 Ih, ass n ufraz iţwassen.
17 Indeed (Inna), the Day of Decisiveness (44:40) (Yaw'mal' Fas'li) is (Kaana) an appointed time (Miiqaatan) .

18 Ass uṣuḍu n lbuq, a d tasem d iorawen.
18 The day (Yaw'ma) the horn (Es'Suuri) is blown (Yunfakhu Fii) and (Fa) you will come forth (Ta'tuuna) in droves (Af'waajaa) ,

19 Ad ildi igenni, dɣa ad ilint tebbura.
19 and (Wa) the sky (Es'Samaau) will be opened (Futihati) and (Fa) will become (Kaanat') gates (Ab'waabaa) ,
78:20

20 Ad lḥun idurar, uɣalen d aylal.
20 and (Wa) the mountains (El'Jibaalu) will be dispatched (Suyyirati) and (Fa) will become (Kaanat') a mirage (Saraabaa) .

21 Ih, Loahennama teqquṛa.
21 Indeed (Inna), Hell (Jahannama) has been (Kaanat') lying in wait (Mir'soadaa)
78:22

22 D axxam imednas.
22 for the transgressors (Lit’ Toagiina), as a resting place (Ma’aaban) ;
78:23

23 Aṭas ara qqimen dinna.
23 wherein (Fiihaa) they will remain (Laabithiina) for long periods (Ah'qaabaa) .
78:24

24 Tissit, tasmuḍi, ur degs, ţţafen;
24 They will not (Laa) taste (Yathuuquuna) cold (Bar'daan) therein (Fiihaa) nor (Walaa) drink (Sharaabaa)
78:25
٢٥
25 siwa aman iṛɣan, akked iṛeṣḍan.
25 except (illa) magma (Hamiiman) and (Wa) pus (Gassaaqaa) ;
78:26

26 D aqeṭṭi iwulmen.
26 an accorded (Wifaaqaa) requital (Jazaa'an) .
78:27
٢٧
27 Nitni, s tideţ, ur oaɛlen ara ad ţţuqeṭṭin.
27 Indeed, they (Innahum') were (Kaanu') not (Laa) expecting (Yar'juuna) a reckoning (Hisaabaa)
78:28
٢٨
28 Isekniyen nneƔ, s leqseḥ ay ten nekkṛen.
28 and (Wa) they denied (Kathzabu' Bi) Our verses (Aayaati-naa) with falsehood (Kithzaabaa) .
78:29

29 Yal cci, Nḥesb it s tira.
29 But (Wa) We have counted (Ah'soi'naa-hu) all (Kulla) things (Shai'in) in writing (Kitaabaa) .
78:30

30 Ihi, jeṛṛbet! Ur awen Nernu, d awezɣi, siwa aɛaqeb.
30 “So (Fa) taste (Thuuqu'), and (Fa) never (Lan) will We augment you (the transgressors) (Naziida-kum') except (illa) in punishment (Äthaabaa) .”
78:31

31 S tideţ, i wid iţḥezziben, amkan n laman;
31 Indeed (Inna), for the pious (Lil' Muttaqiina) is achievement (Mafaazaa) ;
78:32

32 tifeṛṛanin, iqwiṛen;
32 gardens (Hadaaiqa) and (Wa) grapes (A'naabaa)
78:33
٣٣
33 tizzyiwin ifazen;
33 and (Wa) buxom (Kawaa'eba) mates (At'raabaa)
78:34
٣٤
34 lkisan ifalen.
34 and (Wa) brimful (Dihaaqaa) cups (Ka'saan) .
78:35

35 Ur din sellen yir awal neɣ tikerkas.
35 They will not (Laa) hear (Yas'mauuna) nonsense (Lag'wan) therein (Fiiha) nor (Walaa) falsehood (Kithzaabaa)
78:36

36 D arraz sɣuṛ Mass ik, d tikci klalen.
36 as reward (Jazaa'an) from (Min) your LORD (s) (Rabbi-ka); a tender (Ätoa”an) reckoning (Hisaabaa) .
78:37
٣٧ ۖ
37 Mass n tmurt, igenwan, akked wayen illan garasen; Aḥnin, ur zmiren a ten Ioo a d mmeslayen.
37 The LORD (Rabbi) of the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal' Ar'di) and whatever (Wamaa) is between them both (Bai'nahumaa); the GRACIOUS (Er' Rah'maani). None (Laa) will possess (Yam'likuuna) a speech (Khitoaban) against HIM (Min'hu) .
78:38

38 Asmi ara beddent lmalayek akked ṛṛuḥ, d idurra, siwa win Iooa Uḥnin ara d immeslayen; a d yini awal uṣwib.
38 It is the day (Yaw'ma) the Spirit (Er'Ruuhu) and the Angels (Wal' Malaaikatu) will stand (Yaquumu) in a row (Soffaan). None (Laa) will speak (Yatakallamuuna) except (illa) whom (Man') the GRACIOUS (Er 'Rah'maanu) permits (Azina La-hu), and (Wa) he will say (Qaala) what is accurate (Sowaabaa) . (70:4 / 97:4)
78:39

39 D wagi ay d ass n tideţ; win ibɣan, idda d ubrid n tuɣalin ar Mass is.
39 That (Thaalika) is the Day of Truth (El'Yaw'mul' Haqqu); so (Fa) whoever (Man) wills (Shaa'a) should take (Ettakhatha) recourse (Ma-aabaa) to (ilaa) his LORD (Rabbi-hi) .
78:40
٤٠
40 Ih, Nɛaggen awen: aɛaqeb d ayen iqeṛben. Ass ideg ara iẓeṛ umdan, acu xedmen ifassen is, ad yini ujehli: "a ssexḍ iw, a lemmer lliɣ d akal"!
40 Indeed (Innaa), We have warned you (p) (Anthar'naa-kum') of a nearby (Qariiban) punishment (Äthaaban) on the day (Yaw'ma) a man (El'Mar'u) will observe (Yanzuru) what (Maa) his hands (Yadaa-hu) have sent forth (Qaddamat'), and (Wa) the disbeliever (El'Kaafiru) will say (Yaquulu), "O (Yaa) if only (Lai'tanii) I were (Kuntu) dust (Turaaba) ."
