1 Ay (Wai'lun) de los avaros (Lil' Mutoffifiin)
¡Ay de los defraudadores,
1 Woe (Wai'lun) to the misers (Lil' Mutoffifiin) *,
83:2

2 que, (Ellathiina) cuando (Ithaa) acumulan (Ek'taalu') de (Älaa) la gente, (En'Naasi) toman la parte completa (Yas'taw'fuun)
que, cuando piden a otros la medida, la exigen exacta,
2 who (Ellathiina), when (Ithaa) they agglomerate (Ek'taalu') from (Älaa) people (En'Naasi), they take full share (Yas'taw'fuun) ,

3 pero (Wa) cuando (Ithaa) les miden (p) (Kaaluu-hum’) o (Aw) les pesan, (Wazanuu-hum’) causan pérdida (Yukh'siruun)
pero que, cuando ellos miden o pesan para otros, dan menos de lo debido!
3 but (Wa) when (Ithaa) they measure for them (p) (Kaaluu-hum’) or (Aw) weigh for them (Wazanuu-hum’), they cause loss (Yukh'siruun) .

4 Acaso (A-) ellos (U'laaika) no (-laa) creen (Yazunnu) que (Annahum) serán resucitados (Mab'uuthuun)
¿No cuentan con ser resucitados
4 Do (A-) they (U'laaika) not (-laa) believe (Yazunnu) that they (Annahum) will be resurrected (Mab'uuthuun)

5 para (Li) un terrible (Äziim) día (Yaw'min)
un día terrible,
5 for (Li) a terrible (Äziim) day (Yaw'min) ,

6 el día en que (Yaw'ma) la humanidad (En'Naasu) estará de pie (Yaquumu) ante (Li) el SEÑOR (Rabbi) de los mundos (El'Äälamiin)
el día que comparezcan los hombres ante el Señor del universo?
6 the day (Yaw'ma) mankind (En'Naasu) will stand (Yaquumu) before (Li) the LORD (Rabbi) of the worlds (El'Äälamiin) ?
83:7

7 ¡No! (Kallaa) Ciertamente, (Inna) el registro (record) (Kitaaba) de los inmorales (El'Fujjaari) está en (Lafii) el amortajamiento (Sijjiin)
¡No! La Escritura de los pecadores está, ciertamente, en Sichchín.
7 Nay (Kallaa)! Indeed (Inna), the register (record) (Kitaaba) of the immoral (El'Fujjaari) is in (Lafii) shrouding (Sijjiin) .

8 Y (Wa) qué (Maa) te hará saber (s) (Ad'raa-ka) qué (Maa) es el amortajamiento (Sijjiin)
Y ¿cómo sabrás qué es Sichchín?
8 And (Wa) what (Maa) will make you (s) know (Ad'raa-ka) what (Maa) is shrouding (Sijjiin) ?

9 Es un numerado (Mar'quum) registro (Kitaabun)
Es una Escritura marcada.
9 It is a numerical (Mar'quum) register (Kitaabun) . 1

10 Ay (Wai'lun) de los desmentidores, (Lil' Mukathzibiin) ese día (Yaw'maithin)
Ese día, ¡ay de los desmentidores,
10 Woe (Wai'lun) to the deniers (Lil' Mukathzibiin), on that day (Yaw'maithin) , (77:15)
83:11

11 que (Ellathiina) desmienten (Yukathzibuuna Bi) el Día del Juicio (Yaw'mi-d'Diin)
que desmienten el día del Juicio!
11 who (Ellathiina) are denying (Yukathzibuuna Bi) the Day of Judgement (Yaw'mi-d'Diin) .
83:12

12 Pero (Wa) nadie (Maa) lo desmiente (Yukathzibu B-ihi) salvo (illa) todo (Kullu) pecador (Athiim) transgresor (Mu'tadin)
Y no lo desmiente sino todo violador de la ley, pecador,
12 But (Wa) none (Maa) denies it (Yukathzibu B-ihi) except (illa) every (Kullu) sinful (Athiim) trespasser (Mu'tadin) .
83:13

13 Cuando (Ithaa) Nuestros versos (Aayaatu-naa) se le recitan (Tut'laa) a él, (Älai'hi) dice: (Qaala) "Cuentos (Asaatiiru) del pasado (El'Awwaliin)
que, al serle recitadas Nuestras aleyas, dice: «¡Patrañas de los antiguos!»
13 When (Ithaa) Our verses (Aayaatu-naa) are recited (Tut'laa) to him (Älai'hi), he says (Qaala), "Tales (Asaatiiru) of the past (El'Awwaliin) ."
83:14

14 ¡No! (Kallaa) Más bien, (Bal') lo que (Maa) han estado (Kaanu') ganando (Yak'sibuun) ha dominado (Raana Älaa) sus corazones (Quluubi-him)
Pero ¡no! Lo que han cometido ha cubierto de herrumbre sus corazones.
14 Nay (Kallaa)! In fact (Bal'), what (Maa) they have been (Kaanu') earning (Yak'sibuun) has predominated (Raana Älaa) their hearts (Quluubi-him) .
83:15

15 ¡No! (Kallaa) Ciertamente, ellos (Innahum) estarán (La) separados (Mah'juubuun) de (Än) su SEÑOR, (Rabbi-him) ese día (Yaw'maithin)
¡No! Ese día serán separados de su Señor por un velo.
15 Nay (Kallaa)! Indeed, they (Innahum) will be (La) partitioned (Mah'juubuun) from (Än) their LORD (Rabbi-him), on that day (Yaw'maithin) . (57:13)

16 Pues (Thumma) ciertamente, ellos (Innahum) habrán de (La) arder (Soalu') en el Infierno (El'Jahiim)
Luego, arderán, sí, en el fuego de la gehena.
16 For (Thumma) indeed, they (Innahum) will (La) burn (Soalu') in Hell (El'Jahiim) .
83:17

17 Y (Thumma) se les dirá: (Yuqaalu) "Esto (Haatha) es lo que (Ellazii) solíais (Kuntum) desmentir (Tukathzibuun Bi-hi)
Luego, se dirá: «¡He aquí lo que desmentíais!»
17 And (Thumma) they will be told (Yuqaalu), "This (Haatha) is what (Ellazii) you used to (Kuntum) deny (Tukathzibuun Bi-hi) ."

18 ¡No! (Kallaa) Ciertamente, (Inna) el registro (record) (Kitaaba) de los piadosos (El'Ab'raari) está en (Lafii) la altura (Elliyyiin)
¡No! La Escritura de los justos está, ciertamente, en Illiyyun.
18 Nay (Kallaa)! Indeed (Inna), the register (record) (Kitaaba) of the pious (El'Ab'raari) is in (Lafii) loftiness (Elliyyiin) .

19 Y (Wa) qué (Maa) te hará saber (s) (Ad'raa-ka) qué (Maa) es la altura (Elliyyuun)
Y ¿cómo sabrás qué es Illiyyun?
19 And (Wa) what (Maa) will make you (s) know (Ad'raa-ka) what (Maa) is loftiness (Elliyyuun) ?

20 Es un numerado (Mar'quum) registro (Kitaabun)
Es una Escritura marcada,
20 It is a numerical (Mar'quum) register (Kitaabun) . 2

21 Los allegados (El'Muqarrabuun) lo atestiguarán (Yash'hadu-hu)
que verán con sus propios ojos los allegados.
21 Those nearby (El'Muqarrabuun) will witness it (Yash'hadu-hu) .
83:22

22 Ciertamente, (Inna) los piadosos (El'Ab'raara) estarán en (Lafii) la dicha (Naeem)
Sí, los justos estarán en delicia,
22 Indeed (Inna), the pious (El'Ab'raara) will be in (Lafii) bliss (Naeem) , (82:13)

23 observando (Yanzuruun) desde (Älaa) lechos (El'Araa'iki)
en sofás, observando...
23 observing (Yanzuruun) on (Älaa) couches (El'Araa'iki) .
83:24

24 Reconocerás (Ta'rifu) el esplendor (Nad'rata) de la Dicha (En'Naeem) en (Fii) sus rostros (Wujuuhi-him')
Se reconocerá en sus rostros el brillo de la delicia.
24 You will recognize (Ta'rifu) the splendour (Nad'rata) of Bliss (En'Naeem) in (Fii) their faces (Wujuuhi-him') .

25 Se les dará de beber (Yas'qaw'na) de (Min) sellado (Makh'tuum) néctar (Rahiiqin)
Se les dará de beber un vino generoso y sellado,
25 They will be given to drink (Yas'qaw'na) from (Min) sealed (Makh'tuum) nectar (Rahiiqin) ,
83:26

26 cuyo final (Khitaamu-hu) es de almizcle; (Mis'kun) y (Wa) que (Fal') los competidores (El'Mutanaafisuun) compitan (Yatanaafasi) por (Fii) eso (Thaalika)
con un dejo de almizcle -¡que lo codicien los codiciosos!-,
26 whose conclusion (Khitaamu-hu) is of musk (Mis'kun); and (Wa) so let (Fal') the competitors (El'Mutanaafisuun) compete (Yatanaafasi) for (Fii) that (Thaalika) .

27 Y (Wa) su mezcla (Mizaaju-hu) es de (Min) fragancia (perfume) (Tas'niim)
mezclado con agua de Tasnim,
27 And (Wa) its mixture (Mizaaju-hu) is of (Min) fragrance (perfume) (Tas'niim) ;
83:28

28 como un manantial (Äi'nan) del que (Bihaa) los allegados (El'Muqarrabuun) beberán (Yash'rabu)
fuente de la que beberán los allegados.
28 as a spring (Äi'nan) from which (Bihaa) those nearby (El'Muqarrabuun) will drink (Yash'rabu) .
83:29

29 Ciertamente, (Inna) los que (Ellathiina) obraron mal (Aj'ramu') solían (Kaanu’) reírse de (Yad'hakuun Min) los que (Ellathiina) creyeron (Aamanu')
Los pecadores se reían de los creyentes.
29 Indeed (Inna), those who (Ellathiina) acted wrong (Aj'ramu') used to (Kaanu’) laugh at (Yad'hakuun Min) those who (Ellathiina) believed (Aamanu') .
83:30

30 Y (Wa) cada vez que (Ithaa) pasaban junto a ellos, (the wrongful) (Marru' Bihim') se guiñaban el ojo unos a otros (Yatagaamazuun)
Cuando pasaban junto a ellos, se guiñaban el ojo,
30 And (Wa) whenever (Ithaa) they (the wrongful) passed by them (Marru' Bihim'), they would wink at each other (Yatagaamazuun) .
83:31

31 Y (Wa) cada vez que (Ithaa) volvían (Enqalabuu') a (ilaa) su gente, (Ah'li-himu) regresaban (Enqalabu') burlándose (Fakihiin)
cuando regresaban a los suyos, regresaban burlándose,
31 And (Wa) whenever (Ithaa) they turned (Enqalabuu') to (ilaa) their people (Ah'li-himu), they would return (Enqalabu') teasing (Fakihiin) .
83:32

32 Y (Wa) cada vez que (Ithaa) los veían, (the believers) (Ra'aw'hum') decían: (Qaaluu') "Ciertamente, (Inna) estas gentes (Haaulaai) están (La) perdidas (Doalluun)
cuando les veían, decían: «¡Sí, están extraviados!»
32 And (Wa) whenever (Ithaa) they saw them (the believers) (Ra'aw'hum'), they would say (Qaaluu'), "Indeed (Inna), these people (Haaulaai) are (La) lost (Doalluun) ,

34 Así (Fa) hoy, (El'Yaw'ma) los que (Ellathiina) creyeron (Aamanu') se ríen de (Yad'hakuun Mina) los incrédulos (El'Kuffaari)
Ese día, los creyentes se reirán de los infieles,
34 So (Fa) today (El'Yaw'ma), those who (Ellathiina) believed (Aamanu') are laughing at (Yad'hakuun Mina) the disbelievers (El'Kuffaari) ,

35 observando (Yanzuruun) desde (Älaa) lechos (El'Araa'iki)
en sofás, observando...
35 observing (Yanzuruun) on (Älaa) couches (El'Araa'iki) .
83:36

36 Han sido (Hal') los incrédulos (El'Kuffaaru) recompensados (Thuwwiba) por lo que (Maa) han estado (Kaanu') haciendo (Yaf'äluun)
¿No han sido retribuidos los infieles según sus obras?
