What Bayna is, and is not

Bayna is free. You can read the Koran, posts and the wiki without an account.

Bayna is not a fatwa service. Nothing here is a religious ruling, or legal, medical or financial advice.

Grades describe the evidence, never a vote. A grade, a check or a translation (some are made by AI) can still be wrong. Go to the source and see for yourself.

Your account

• Joining is for people aged 13 or over.
• One person, one account, with an email address you read.
• Keep your password to yourself. What happens on your account is your responsibility.
• If someone else may be using it, change your password and tell us through the contact form.

What you post

Your posts stay yours: questions, finds, threads, comments, checks and the files you upload.

You allow Bayna to show, store, translate (sometimes by AI), quote and link to them, on Bayna and wherever Bayna pages are shared, for as long as they are on Bayna. This permission is free, worldwide and not exclusive.

Other members build on your work: their checks, the wiki and citations depend on it. So if you delete your account, your posts stay, signed "Deleted member". To have a post taken down, ask through the contact form.

How we discuss

Argue with evidence, not insults. Judge the claim, never the person. You must not:

• insult, threaten, harass or target any person or group;
• post hateful, violent, sexual or illegal content, or content that promotes terrorism;
• post someone's private information;
• post work you have no right to share (quote short parts and name the source);
• pretend to be someone else, or invent evidence or sources;
• use more than one account to vote or check;
• spam, advertise, or link to scams or harmful software;
• try to break, overload or copy the site in bulk.

Reports and moderation

Every post and reply passes an automatic check before it appears. Anyone can report a post or comment with Report, or through the contact form.

We review every report. Content that breaks these rules or the law can be held or removed, and an account can be limited or closed. We tell you why. Nothing is deleted silently.

If you think we got it wrong, write to us through the contact form and we will look again. If someone has copied your work, tell us through the contact form and name the page.

Sources and the site

Koran translations, archive items, maps and books belong to their owners where they hold rights. We name each source and its licence where we know them.

Bayna's design, code and name are Bayna's. Don't copy the site as a whole.

No guarantees

Bayna is free and offered as it is. We may change, pause or stop any part of it.

We are not responsible for losses that come from using the site or relying on what members post. Nothing in these terms limits a responsibility the law does not allow us to limit, or your rights as a consumer.

How we handle your data is set out in our privacy notice.

Changes and law

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and members are told on the site about important changes. Using Bayna after a change means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Wherever you live, you keep the protection of your own country's consumer law.
