Two-factor adds a second step when you sign in, using an authenticator app or a passkey. It is optional for members and required for verifiers, editors and moderators.

Scan this with your authenticator app (Aegis, Google Authenticator, 1Password…), then enter the code it shows.

Each works once. Keep them somewhere safe — they are your way in if you lose your phone. They will not be shown again.
